There have been SO MANY updates this past week! Just when we thought we’d seen all the major changes for the year, these happen! Instagram has come in with lots of updates; one is incredibly useful (HINT: the words in-app scheduling are involved)…the others maybe not. Canva, Etsy, & YouTube have joined Instagram by releasing big updates this week, so let’s get into it!

The longest-awaited Instagram feature is finally here!

Mosseri called it the ‘finally’ feature, and we agree!

In-app Instagram scheduling is here! Mosseri confirmed it in a recent Reel. You’ll be able to schedule your content in-app by clicking ‘advanced settings’, and then you can schedule up to 75 days in the future! We are so excited to see in-app scheduling finally arrive, we can’t wait to see how it goes!

Etsy is making a big change

Searching on Etsy is about to get a lot easier!

It’s been announced by the product lead Han Cho that you will be able to search by image on Etsy soon, starting with iOS users. To do it, click the image icon in the search bar and upload an image that is similar to what you are looking for!

The new home of YouTube shorts

YouTube shorts are heading to the silver screen. YouTube has announced that on its smart TV app, you’ll be able to view YouTube Shorts. The global rollout is just beginning, so keep an eye out for it!

Instagram’s new music feature…a hit or a miss?

Have you ever wanted to add music to your static posts? Well, you can soon. Instagram has confirmed the launch of a new feature that will let you add music to your photo posts. You can do it by creating your post as usual, and on the final screen with your caption, add a tune. Not everyone has this one yet, so keep an eye out!

The epic new Canva update

If you’re a Canva lover like us, you’ll enjoy this! Canva is launching a text-to-image AI tool. You’ll be able to create up to 100 images per day with the tool, and it looks pretty cool! Simply describe (with clear, descriptive words) what you want, and it will create it for you!

Instagram on the web has had a makeover

You might have noticed this already if you are an Instagram desktop user, but they have updated their website! Mosseri stated that this new design takes advantage of large screens and has been done to give users the easiest web experience, especially for multitasking.
