This week Meta is flooding our feed with so many new updates. From updated ad features to a new look messaging future, there is a lot going on. In other (equally major) news, YouTube handles are here; you need to get in quickly! Let’s get into it and much more (HINT: Google search results are changing).
Facebook’s updating their ads features! Facebook call ads are getting an upgrade with the option for customers to request a callback through messenger. This is super handy, especially in the lead-up to Christmas; no need to worry about missing customer calls!
Meta’s professional mode is finally here for all creators! After the limited launch last year, Meta is expanding this feature. Professional mode lets creators make a separate Facebook profile, a bit like a page for a business. It comes with a heap of handy tools like insights and scheduling.
Have you secured your YouTube handle yet? YouTube has added handles to every account that is totally unique to your account (e.g. get in quick to secure your name). Your handle is searchable and makes it easier for users to find you! You should receive an email from YouTube to secure your handle, so keep an eye on your inbox!
Google shopping is getting a holiday upgrade. Heaps of new features have been announced that online retailers need to know about. From the promotion badges for products to price comparison tools, there is so much to talk about.
- Promotion Badge- Google will show coupon codes and promotions in product search results. Instead of looking at the website, your customers will be able to see your discounts and other businesses in one place. Very important to know if you own an online retail biz!
- Side-by-side results- it brings all relevant search results together side-by-side, NOT in the shopping tab. So in your very first Google search, you can see all the options for what you are looking for.
- Price comparison- you’ll be able to see if competitors offer the same product for cheaper in a super simple table, all made by Google!
Meta is looking at the future of messaging. In partnership with Plug & Play, Meta will be taking part in an accelerator program and looking into some messaging training programs. Fingers crossed, this provides some great new insights for businesses!
