Teaching 40 businesses Facebook Ads in 6 weeks

In July 2024, we helped 40 business owners learn how to use Meta Ads for the first time! Here’s how we did it.

The Opportunity:

Earlier this year, we got a call from the incredible Brooke Clancy, Owner of Marketing Bud, who was running an extremely impactful program called Basics Bootcamp. This program was designed for Brooke’s client, Experience Gold Coast, to help their members leverage Meta Business Suite.

Part of this training was focused on Meta Ads, so Brooke invited us to facilitate this component of the training. Being invited to take part in an opportunity like this because you’re known for your expertise is always a huge compliment that we will never get over!

Our Solution:

We worked together with Brooke to get an understanding of this audience’s current skill set, challenges and time capacity, to develop a series of training videos, written resources and 1:1 coaching sessions to take each member from confused to confident with Facebook Ads in just a few weeks.

We knew that helping 40 business owners go from ground zero to understanding and using Meta Ads over 6 weeks was an ambitious goal. As always, we applied our skills in organisation, processes and cutting the fluff to deliver the following for maximum impact and minimal time-wasting!

  • A detailed but straightforward checklist to help each business owner get as much of their tech set up as possible before jumping into our training.
  • A custom pre-recorded training video walking through how to create, manage and measure a Meta Ads campaign for your tourism business. This format was a must so that participants could easily work through the training in their own time.
  • A PDF copy of the slides as many participants were working from one screen and found it helpful to have instructions they could print out.
  • A Calendly booking system that every single participant could use to book in a 30 minute 1:1 call with our Co-Founder, Katy. In this call I worked through a series of questions with each business owner to extract what makes their offering special, define their target audience, and explore offers that would perform well in Faceook ads. Within 30 minutes, they had their very first Facebook Ads campaign outlined and ready to be set up!
