The CTA (call-to-action) options Meta has been teasing for story ads have finally dropped to change the game for sale periods and Google’s tourism ads have had a makeover using real-time data to draw in clicks! This is a huge week for our businesses who use paid ads (or socials in general), so make sure you don’t miss these brand-new updates!
What’s new with Meta?
Meta Ads Improve CTA Options
We saw news of this update a while ago and our Paid Ads Specialist, Georgia, has just noticed this option appear for one of our clients. Meta has introduced a new feature for Instagram and Facebook story ads that allows advertisers to display multiple offers within a single ad. This feature is currently available for singular Meta story ads and uses predictive technology to show relevant offers to each user. This can help advertisers increase click-through rates and drive more sales.
How it works?
- Multiple Offers: Imagine a clothing brand promoting a seasonal sale on Instagram. Instead of a simple “Shop Now” button, the ad could display up to 20 different offers depending on the customer. For example, the offer could be a 10% discount or a buy-one-get-one-free deal. Otherwise, you of course have the option to manually choose these. These offers are pulled directly from the brand’s website, ensuring the most up-to-date and relevant promotions.
Our take: We will test this new feature for any clients with seasonal promotions, and we can’t wait to see the results!

What’s new with Instagram?
- Instagram has clarified that including your own brand’s logo on a Reel will not negatively impact its reach. However, reposting content from other platforms, such as TikTok or YouTube Shorts, with their logos can still limit the reach of your Reel.
- Last week the spooky font joined Instagram’s text options and now there are more additions to the Halloween collection! These include new Halloween-themed: DM animations triggered by using specific keywords, a chat theme, and new “Add Yours” story templates.
👀 Tests spotted on Instagram this week:
- Instagram is testing a new feature that provides insights into the performance of other users’ Reels, as you are watching them! These insights include information on what makes a Reel successful, such as the use of music, effects, and trends. What’s weird is that these insights appear right on the screen as you are scrolling Reels. This could be helpful for creators who want to improve their Reels performance. However, it’s not yet clear when this feature will be widely available.

What’s new with Google?
Google Tourism Ads Get an Upgrade
Google is upgrading its travel advertising on Search by allowing hotels to include more real-time information directly in their ads. This includes details like pricing, availability, ratings, and images.
Key features:
- Real-Time Data: Travel advertisers can now use Travel Feeds in Search Ads to display dynamic data like prices, dates, ratings, and images. This allows hotels to showcase their current inventory and for travellers to see the latest price information directly in search results.
- Benefits: This can lead to higher click-through rates as potential travellers are presented with more relevant and enticing ad content. Google claims to have seen a significant increase (up to 20%) in click-through rates when advertisers use the full range of Travel Feeds formats.
Recommendations for Businesses: If you’re a hotel advertiser and currently use Google Search Ads, this should be an amazing tool to give up-to-date and appealing information to any prospective customers.
What’s new with TikTok?
Our Digital Marketing Assistant, Abby, noticed that leaving a comment on your TikTok repost is back! But this time, only your friends on TikTok can see this (so people that you also follow back!)
👀 Tests spotted on TikTok this week:
- Our team has just taken note of TikTok’s new test, the AI chatbot called Tako. This chatbot is designed to help users navigate the platform, answer their questions, and recommend relevant content. It’s powered by AI and can understand and respond to natural language queries. Tako is currently in beta testing and is available in select markets.
