July was buzzing with digital updates across IG, LinkedIn, Meta and more. As always, we’ve done the scrolling (and squealing) so you don’t have to! Let’s dive into what’s new, what’s cool, and what your biz should be experimenting with next…
What’s new with Meta?
Facebook (finally) has cracked down on sharing unoriginal content!
In a bid to clean up the feed and bring quality back to the scroll, Facebook has announced it’s dialling down the reach of low-quality or overly duplicated content. That includes copy-and-paste posts shared across multiple pages and overly generic, AI-generated content without a distinct brand voice.
Now is the time to get creative with your content. If you’re using AI tools (which we love when done well), make sure you’re adding your own spin, insights, or personality before you hit publish. Think less “robot wrote this” and more “this sounds just like us.” Here’s an example of how an original post will look on our feeds:

📔 Other noteworthy digital updates from Meta this month:
- New DM Ad Formats on WhatsApp with AI prompt integration.
- Message templates for DM Re-engagement allow you to follow up with past leads via DM’s.
